Hello everyone! I hope all is well and your summer is amazing so far. This past week I attended ( and worked) a very close friend of mines wedding! Which was super exciting and such a beautiful event.
As I was doing the bridesmaids makeup they told me about blemishes and under eye circles they wished to cover which got me thinking! I know how to do that so why not share my knowledge.
I’ve written about this before but I used to suffer from terrible acne. Which has left ever worse scaring! (Super dramatic) With that being said I’ve somewhat mastered the art of coverup.
First things first START WITH A GOOD BASE!
-Moisturize as well as prime: Evian facial spray, Benefit Porefessional
-If you are feeling a slightly more dry use Farsali Unicorn Essence
Next up- COLOR CORRECTION
-Using a green concealer (Less is more and do not forget tot blend):L.A. Girl Pro. Conceal
-Dark under eyes need a yellow based concealer
-Pro tip I would not cake the makeup up. (Small layers work best) it will worsen the appearance of bumps and skin texture
On to- CONCEARLER
-Use skin tone concealer on your face but a lighter shade under the eyes: Benefit Boing Concealer, Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer
-Again with your beauty blending sponge blend on your foundation!
Some final tips:
-Bake your concealer under your eyes.
-Use matte blushes and bronzers

Question of the day: What is your favorite concealer?
Thank you so much for reading!
Hey everyone, I hope you guys are doing well! So, like the title says I’ve been skin care obsessed… well face mask obsessed. A little back story (which I have explained before) I’ve suffered from serious acne for a long time and my skin has FINALLY (at 23) started to give me a break!
Today, Im going to share my favorite DIY face mask and a little review on the E.L.F. Pore refining brush and mask tool!
I’m a detox freak! Anything with clay I’m hooked so, when I saw one of my favorite youtubers use the Aztec Secret Indian Healing Clay I freaked out! I knew I had to try it. So, I used one tbs of the clay powder and 2 tbs of distilled water. And the skin game was changed forever! It helps with raw break outs as well as helping keep away new skin impurities.
P.S. Please make sure you have distilled water! I use filtered warm water. Trust me you do not need more junk on your skin.
Now, onto the new E.L.F. brush- I’m a use your hands for everything type of girl. Thats not always good because your hands have a lot of bacteria on them. The top of the brush is a tool to apply a mask. It’s taking a little bit to get used to applying small amounts slowly with the tool and not my fingers. I do enjoy the fact that it’s more cleanly for my face. Also, the bottom is a pore refining brush and I love it! It really does get into my pores and cleans out all the gunk. And hey for $5 bucks I think it’s totally worth it!

Question of the day- What is your favorite DIY face masks?
Ok ladies and gents in my daily offline life I struggle with acne of some sorts. Whether its the monthly “fun time” breakout or the evil black heads buying property on my t-zone. Neither are fun and more importantly sometimes it hurts! Since about 15 I have tried hundreds (yes hundreds) of treatments, washes, DIY’s, home remedies, lotions, etc. you name it I’ve probably tried it. Some have worked and others have not.
Today I’m here to talk about over night pimple cures! Could it really be that simple? Well we have two products the Mario Badescu Drying Lotion which for most is a cult classic and Nexcare Acne Absorbing Covers! Both claim to about the same thing applied two different ways. I have two under the skin buddies that need to be gone asap. On my chin, I will be using the Mario Badescu Drying Lotion because of the uneven area it’s in. The other on my cheek which is where I will be using one of the Nexcare Acne Absorbing Covers because that area is flat. In the morning I will check each one to see if they both really do what the claim. ZZZZzzzzz (“8 hours” later… more like 5)
Mario Badescu Drying Lotion: Claims to draw out impurities from the skin. Costs $17.00 for 1fl oz. Strong smell, drys pink, the bottle must stay upright and unshaken but can be put anywhere on the face even in tight spaces.
Nexcare Acne Absorbing Covers: Claims to work like a sponge to absorb pus and oil. Costs $8.00 for 36 covers. It has no smell, can be worn during the day under foundation, clear, comes in two sizes (large and small) but must be put on flat parts of the face.
When I woke up the next day I was pleasantly surprised and sorta disappointed at the same time. Ive been using the cult classic (drying lotion) for a while now and it did not hold a candle to the acne covers! The drying lotion had drawn out the impurities but its now a white head. I got over to my cheek and the spot where I put the absorbing acne cover has pretty much cleared up, it was smooth to the touch as well! Plus as a side note the skin around where I had put the drying lotion was completely dried out. The covers however did not dry my skin.
So, in the end I say the Nexcare Acne Absorbing Cover was the true winner. Let me know in the comments below what you guys think! Have any of you tried these?
