Purple Makeup Look:

Hello everyone.. I hope all is well. I cannot believe summer is flying by! ( I’m not ok with this.)

Starting out with my face makeup:
Benefits Porefessional Face Primer
Hard Candy Sheer Envy Color Correct Cushion Wonder ( I don’t know how I feel about this product yet!)
MAC Cosmetics Foundation mixed with Estee Launder Double Wear Foundation
MAC Cosmetics Concealer (On my acne and scars)
Anastasia Contour Kit (Under eyes with light and around my face with the dark)
Elf High Definition Powder (For baking under my eyes)
MAC Cosmetics Foundation Powder
Too Faced Chocolate Soleil Matte Bronzer
Tarte Amazonian Clay Blush
Tarte Pro Glow Palette
(For my highlighter)IMG_3488

Eyebrows:
MAC Cosmetics Eye Liner (Coffee)
Elf Eyebrow Kit
Anastasia Concealer (Carve out my eyebrows)
Anastasia Brow Gel IMG_3489

Now to the main event… My eye makeup:
-Starting out I used the Too Face White Chocolate Chip palette, taking shade Cake Batter all over my lid.
-Taking Mac’s shade Cork in my crease.
-Continuing in my crease I used Mac’s Black Berry. (Remember to blend, blend, and blend.)
-Back to the Too Face palette I used Sugared Raisin all over the lid.
-Using Satellite Dreams from Mac in the outer corner, I blend it towards the middle of my lid.
– Switching over to the Tarte Make Believe in Yourself palette I take the highlight shade in the middle and place it on the middle of my lid and blend it out. As well as on my eyebrow and the inner corner of my eye.
-Taking Lorac Liquid Liner to make my wing.
-Finally I added a few coats of Essence Lash Princess after using an eyelash curler.

Spa Days With My Mama

Spa Days With My Mama

Hey everyone, I hope you’re all doing well! Today is a super exciting blog post because I will be joined by my mother Jen.

A little back story; my mom is definitely the one who started my beauty craze. I remember laying in her lap as she applied a very “bold” smokey eye, with EYELINER, after I would beg her! She used an Almay trio palette for green eyes. I was probably around 12 years old (2006-ish). The first time I walked out and my dad saw me he practically died! I remember him telling my mom that I was not allowed to leave the house… then my mother said “Roland she would never leave the house with that much makeup”. Little did they know that I would leave the house years later with a pound of it on my face! spa2

Recently I purchased a jar of the Dr. Brandt Magnetight Age Defying Magnetic Mask. I decided that I would use it on my mom, she deserves a little TLC every once in awhile. I would say her skin has an oily t-zone and is very dry around the edges. I’M NOT SAYING HER SKIN IS AGING…. So anyways, I asked her a few questions while she was wearing the mask and after! spa1

First question: How do you like the application? “Its super easy, anyone could do it.” -Mama

How does the mask feel on your skin? “It feels like there is nothing on my face. It’s smooth!”-Mama

How does it smell? “It smells like the tea we brew… not like the Wawa tea but the good kind. Like green tea.”-Mama

How does it feel to remove the mask with a magnet? “Really cool! It feels like light tickles.”-Mama

How does your skin feel afterwards? “Like fake skin.. You know what I mean?”- Mama “Yeah mom I know what you mean.” -Me

How does your skin look afterwards? “The pores are cleaned out! Look at my nose Vic.” -Mama (Presses nose in my face) “Yeah looks good.”-Me

She gives it a 9/10. Mom was so impressed by the mask, she’s still most likely admiring herself.

The mask itself is $24.00 for a travel size. It has about three applications.

Question of the day?- Does anyone have any good mask recommendations? For Mom or me? Let me know!

Tarte Make Believe In Yourself First Look

Tarte Make Believe In Yourself First Look

Hey everyone! I hope you all have been super well. I’m coming to you with a first look on the new Tarte Make Believe in Yourself.

The color selection is beautiful, there is a good mix between neutral and “fashion” colors. There are ten shades of eye shadows around the palette and one cheek shade in the center. The pigment pay off is really good. Nine of the shadows are shimmery and one is matte (Myth). The cheek shade is definitely a highlight shade.tarte4

Starting with the matte Myth and working clockwise:tarte1tarte3

This is the time I’m going to throw in that the palette also smells amazing! Just like cocoa!

The packaging is well-made. There is a large mirror and a beautiful piece of art on the front.tarte2

My next post will involve a makeup look from this palette as well as a much more in-depth review on how the colors actually perform. If you have any other comments or concerns don’t be shy, just leave them in the comments below! Lets chat.

Question of the day- What are your thoughts on Tarte eyeshadows?
