Hello everyone, I hope you’re all doing well. As Christmas inches closer (Take a minute to lose it because I am) I’ve been really going to work making sure my skin looks somewhat decent. If your family is anything like mine (mainly my dear mother ft. in this blog) then you’ll be in roughly a good 1000 photos.
So, I decided to pick out a face mask from my arsenal, just a little something to “relax”. Today’s choice was by a company called The Original Korean Face Mask, The Pearl Sculpting Mask. This promised to brighten and give my skin an instant renewal! I bought it at Boscovs on a whim for a whopping $2.00.
It comes in a powder form inside a plastic cup with a little spatula. You put water up to the line, mix then apply wait the standard 15 to 20 minutes and rinse…… (I’m sitting here typing this, laughing) My guess is that I mixed it for too long? Because it started to harden in the container! I run to the mirror and begin to slap it on my face. Honestly everyone in my house thinks I’ve lost it, this just adds to the proof.
Ah… now I had a chunky unspreadable goop on my face. The mask finally dries and after rinsing it off there was not much of a difference. My skin felt soft and it was good fun but I’m not going to repurchase another one.
If you do purchase this face mask just be aware that you need to apply it fast and there is a strong perfume smell.

Question of the day- What are your plans for June?
Hey everyone I’m back with a prom hair tutorial! My sister Sarah (the beauty in the pictures) is not really going to prom but I’m made her choose some inspiration anyways… she of course chose Belle.
- Brush through your hair to make it knot free.
- Begin by curling the ends of your hair for a more polished finish.
- Then take the front section of hair and braid into a loose braid use a small rubber band to secure.
- Leave out the braid and a few curls in the front, but taking the rest of your hair.. put into a low side pony on the side with the braid.
- Take the braid and wrap the end around the pony tail holder and secure with a bobby pin.
- Now take one curl at a time and wrap into a circle and secure with a hair pin onto of the pony tail.
- Repeat set 6 a few times to achieve desired look.
- Leave a good portion of the pony tail down.
- Finish off the look with a light mist of Hairspray!
Now your ready for the Ball ( or prom). Don’t try to make this a complicated look! Have fun with it and don’t worry if it isn’t perfect. There is so many way to customize this look. If you have any questions or concerns please comment below we will chat!

Next I put Mac’s loose pigment in Melon all over my lid.
Followed up by a wing eyeliner look with Lorac Front Of The Line Pro liner.
I then, finished with two coats of Essence Lash Princess.
Starting off with Benefit’s the Pore fessional all over my face as a primer.
Then, going in with my Mac’s Pro Longwear Foundation all over my face.
I added a drop or two of Josie Maran Argan Oil in my Anastasia Contour Creme Kit (Light).
I used Banana under my eyes and Java on the top of my forehead and under my cheek bones.
I also, used Boing Concealer in Light on my spots.
I baked (under my eyes) with E.LF.’s Sheer Powder.
Using a light dusting of Mac’s Studio Fix Powder Plus Foundation all over my face.
I used Tarte blush in Pampered on my cheeks.
Then, using Too Faced Bronzer in Chocolate Soleil I contoured under my cheek bones and around my face.
To highlight I used Becca Highlighter in Champagne Pop. (Of course)
I start to fill in my eyebrows with E.L.F.’s Eyebrow kit.
I carve out my brows with my Boing concealer.
Then, I highlight my brow bones with Mac’s loose pigment Vanilla.
I lined my lips with a beauty for real lip liner.
For lipstick I used Revlon Ultra HD Matte Lipcolor in Forever.
I’m sorry for the awkward photos! I’m the worst when it comes to taking photos of my makeup. Oh, I do have a strapless shirt on but it doesn’t look like it! I hope everyone likes this look.. I will be posting a prom hair style on Thursday. So, look out for that, and hey do you have any questions or opinions? Comment below we will chat!
Question of the day- What kind of special events do you have coming up?
Ok ladies and gents in my daily offline life I struggle with acne of some sorts. Whether its the monthly “fun time” breakout or the evil black heads buying property on my t-zone. Neither are fun and more importantly sometimes it hurts! Since about 15 I have tried hundreds (yes hundreds) of treatments, washes, DIY’s, home remedies, lotions, etc. you name it I’ve probably tried it. Some have worked and others have not.
Today I’m here to talk about over night pimple cures! Could it really be that simple? Well we have two products the Mario Badescu Drying Lotion which for most is a cult classic and Nexcare Acne Absorbing Covers! Both claim to about the same thing applied two different ways. I have two under the skin buddies that need to be gone asap. On my chin, I will be using the Mario Badescu Drying Lotion because of the uneven area it’s in. The other on my cheek which is where I will be using one of the Nexcare Acne Absorbing Covers because that area is flat. In the morning I will check each one to see if they both really do what the claim. ZZZZzzzzz (“8 hours” later… more like 5)
Mario Badescu Drying Lotion: Claims to draw out impurities from the skin. Costs $17.00 for 1fl oz. Strong smell, drys pink, the bottle must stay upright and unshaken but can be put anywhere on the face even in tight spaces.
Nexcare Acne Absorbing Covers: Claims to work like a sponge to absorb pus and oil. Costs $8.00 for 36 covers. It has no smell, can be worn during the day under foundation, clear, comes in two sizes (large and small) but must be put on flat parts of the face.
When I woke up the next day I was pleasantly surprised and sorta disappointed at the same time. Ive been using the cult classic (drying lotion) for a while now and it did not hold a candle to the acne covers! The drying lotion had drawn out the impurities but its now a white head. I got over to my cheek and the spot where I put the absorbing acne cover has pretty much cleared up, it was smooth to the touch as well! Plus as a side note the skin around where I had put the drying lotion was completely dried out. The covers however did not dry my skin.
So, in the end I say the Nexcare Acne Absorbing Cover was the true winner. Let me know in the comments below what you guys think! Have any of you tried these?
