Hello everyone! I hope you are all well and excited for easter. This weekend is very packed for us and I want to be spring fresh. ( Or as close to it) So, I decided to dig through my hoard of face masks and landed on the Soap and Glory De-clog Mask.
I know soap and glory are known for their packaging but come on how cute is this! Oh and just wait…. it’s PINK. Yes, bubble gum pink. ( I lost it) Now that I’m praying I love it as much as I do the looks of it.
First off the smell is a bit strong but pleasant. I just rather have non-scented skin care products because my skin is sensitive to fragrances. The application was smooth and fairly easy. ( Did I mention it comes with a baby spoon!)
The directions say to wait 20-25 minutes. It dries much quicker and comes off nicely. One disclaimer I want to add is that it does pull your hair. For me that was not a deal breaker but just be careful!
The after magic? My face was super smooth and clean-looking. I could definitely tell a difference in my pores. I’d give the de-clog a 8 out 10. For $6.00 you get two applications in seperate pots. I will be forsure repurchasing more of the soap and glory masks.
If you have any questions or concerns please leave a comment…. lets chat!
Question of the day: Favorite soap and glory product?
Okay ladies and gents! Today we are going to be talking about skin care (again)… one of the most bitter-sweet topics to me. I once had beautiful clear skin (like everyone in my family) until around 15, then everything went south. In a previous post, my review of the acne treatments to be exact I mentioned I have tried a million and one things. Nothing was really working until I started this routine about a year ago! I also should mention I went to a dermatologist for a long time, and a few of the products I’m going to mention is what the Doc prescribed.
I’m a firm believer in a set routine so lets begin:
Morning Routine: (Easy Peasy)
Wash: Neutrogena Clear Pore Cleanser/Mask Gets rid of all the dirt and oils
Moisturizer: Cetaphil Moisturizing Lotion Makes my skin soft not greasy
Night Time Routine: (this is where things get a little crazy)
Wash: Neutrogena Clear Pore Cleanser/Mask or Dove Sensitive bar soap.
Depending on how dirty I feel my face is… at night I use my Mia 2. I really could not live without my Clarisonic it gives me such a deep clean.
Toner: L’occitane Lotion Divine Doesn’t dry my skin out!
Moisturize: Cetaphil Mositurizing Lotion
Lip Balm: L’occitane Soft Balm
Makeup Remover: Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water. Doesn’t leave a sticky feeling.
If I have a pimple/break out I will use my Mario Badescu Drying Lotion or my acne cover ups!
I hope you all can take something away from this! If anyone would like to know about the masks or other special treatments just ask, I’ll make a post.
Question of the day- What are your skin care routines like?
