Collective Haul:

Hello everyone! I hope all is well in your lives at the moment. I’ve had an amazing summer so far, lots of fun in sun. (So cheesy, I know.)

So, lately I have been shopping pretty much every weekend (not going to lie). I’ve bought all kinds of things from beauty to jewelry to clothes to you name it.

I’ve recently started a wish list to pick items directly off of that I know I have been really wanting. (Basically my form of budgeting)

Let’s start with Beauty:

The Morphe 350 Natural Glow Palette (CULT CLASSIC) IMG_2766

Wet n Wild Highlighter in Blossom Glow

Wet n Wild Foundation Brush

Air Spun Powder in Translucent IMG_2768

Biore Micellar Water

Biore Facial Cleanser IMG_2770

Nars Liquid Lip in Don’t Stop

Revlon Concealer Brush IMG_2769

And finally just a couple of face masks (because I have a problem)IMG_2771

Accessories:

I have an unhealthy relationship with gold jewelry! Below is a picture of some of my favorite pieces I gave recently bought. IMG_2765

Simply Southern Salty But Sweet Clutch

Corkcicle Canteen IMG_2767

I know this seems like a lot, but as I said this has been over the past couple of weeks.

How to cover the un-holy like a pro!

How to cover the un-holy like a pro!

Hello everyone! I hope all is well and your summer is amazing so far. This past week I attended ( and worked) a very close friend of mines wedding! Which was super exciting and such a beautiful event.

As I was doing the bridesmaids makeup they told me about blemishes and under eye circles they wished to cover which got me thinking! I know how to do that so why not share my knowledge.

I’ve written about this before but I used to suffer from terrible acne. Which has left ever worse scaring! (Super dramatic) With that being said I’ve somewhat mastered the art of coverup.IMG_2636

First things first START WITH A GOOD BASE!
-Moisturize as well as prime: Evian facial spray, Benefit Porefessional
-If you are feeling a slightly more dry use Farsali Unicorn Essence

Next up- COLOR CORRECTION
-Using a green concealer (Less is more and do not forget tot blend):L.A. Girl Pro. Conceal
-Dark under eyes need a yellow based concealer
-Pro tip I would not cake the makeup up. (Small layers work best) it will worsen the appearance of bumps and skin texture

On to- CONCEARLER
-Use skin tone concealer on your face but a lighter shade under the eyes: Benefit  Boing Concealer, Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer

Finally- FOUNDATION
-Again with your beauty blending sponge blend on your foundation!

Some final tips:
-Blend!
-Bake your concealer under your eyes.
-Use matte blushes and bronzersIMG_2647

Tony Moly Vs. Biore: Pore Strip Showdown!

Tony Moly Vs. Biore: Pore Strip Showdown!

Hello everyone! Can we talk about how school is finally done and summer has begun! I am so excited to be back. But I am even more excited to start a new series on my blog….. The Vs.

There are way too many products on the market that do (supposedly) the same thing. Well, here on my Vs. I will be trying two or more products that have the same claims!

This weeks contenders:

Tony Moly- Tako Pore One Shot Nose Pack ($3.50)
Vs.
Biore- Deep Cleansing Pore Strips ($7.99)

Processed with VSCO with f1 presetLets talk about pros for the Tony Moly:
Covers a lot larger area
Pulls out many black heads
No Pain
Leaves no residue

Cons:
1 to a pack
More expensive

Processed with VSCO with f1 presetBiore Pros:
Pulls out a lot of black heads
Is black so you can see the results better
More comes in a pack
Cheaper

Cons:
Covers a smaller area
Leaves black residue on the skin

They both claim the same thing, to rid you of clogged pores. Both strips are applied the same way and take the same amount of time to dry. I would say they take out the same amount of pore gunk but since the tony moly one is so much larger you get a larger area cleaned.

I have used biore strips for ever and a day (no lie), but for me after just one use I have to declare the Tony Moly Tako Pore One Shot Nose Pack as the winner!

If you enjoy these kinds of posts let me know in the comments as well as any questions or concerns….. Let’s chat!

Question of the day: Have you tried either of the products mentioned above? What did you think?

De-clog Those Pores With Glory

De-clog Those Pores With Glory

Hello everyone! I hope you are all well and excited for easter. This weekend is very packed for us and I want to be spring fresh. ( Or as close to it) So, I decided to dig through my hoard of face masks and landed on the Soap and Glory De-clog Mask.

I know soap and glory are known for their packaging but come on how cute is this! Oh and just wait…. it’s PINK. Yes, bubble gum pink. ( I lost it) Now that I’m praying I love it as much as I do the looks of it.

First off the smell is a bit strong but pleasant. I just rather have non-scented skin care products because my skin is sensitive to fragrances. The application was smooth and fairly easy. ( Did I mention it comes with a baby spoon!)

The directions say to wait 20-25 minutes. It dries much quicker and comes off nicely. One disclaimer I want to add is that it does pull your hair. For me that was not a deal breaker but just be careful! Processed with VSCO with a6 preset

The after magic? My face was super smooth and clean-looking. I could definitely tell a difference in my pores. I’d give the de-clog a 8 out 10. For $6.00 you get two applications in seperate pots. I will be forsure repurchasing more of the soap and glory masks.

Face Mask Friday

Face Mask Friday

Hello everyone, I hope you’re all doing well. As Christmas inches closer (Take a minute to lose it because I am) I’ve been really going to work making sure my skin looks somewhat decent. If your family is anything like mine (mainly my dear mother ft. in this blog) then you’ll be in roughly a good 1000 photos.

So, I decided to pick out a face mask from my arsenal, just a little something to “relax”. Today’s choice was by a company called The Original Korean Face Mask, The Pearl Sculpting Mask. This promised to brighten and give my skin an instant renewal! I bought it at Boscovs on a whim for a whopping $2.00.

Well… FAIL!

Processed with VSCO with a6 preset

It comes in a powder form inside a plastic cup with a little spatula. You put water up to the line, mix then apply wait the standard 15 to 20 minutes and rinse…… (I’m sitting here typing this, laughing) My guess is that I mixed it for too long? Because it started to harden in the container! I run to the mirror and begin to slap it on my face. Honestly everyone in my house thinks I’ve lost it, this just adds to the proof.

Ah… now I had a chunky unspreadable goop on my face. The mask finally dries and after rinsing it off there was not much of a difference. My skin felt soft and it was good fun but I’m not going to repurchase another one.

If you do purchase this face mask just be aware that you need to apply it fast and there is a strong perfume smell.

My Ultimate Face Mask!

My Ultimate Face Mask!

Hello everyone… I hope all is well of course. You all are probably wondering where in the world I’ve been! Well, I have decided to go back to college. This whole summer has been dedicated to getting ready for that, and just having fun. I don’t like the fact that my blog took a back seat for awhile, but unfortunately it has.

Enough with the updates, I have an exciting experience to share with everyone! A little back story, at the beginning of middle school I started getting migraines. (They are a family trait I wish I never got) One day my mom took me to The Body Shop and we bought a cooling face mask just to try…. It worked wonders! Fast forward twelve years (Yes twelve!), my beloved mask has started to lose its magic. A lot of the blue gel inside has dissipated. IMG_3601

Well, one night I was browsing The Body Shop website and what did I find?!? The same mask in PINK! (My favorite color btw) I could have cried, twelve years later and I find a new one? Crazy! But wait its only $4.80? With FREE SHIPPING? This must be a joke… NOPE!

This mask is a life saver, it helps with a number of things:
-Puffy eyes
-Migraines/Headaches
-Hot days to cool off

It stays pretty cool on its own but you can place it in the freezer for a bit to get cold. It has a strap with velcro. I’m just in love with this mask honestly, there are so many good things I could say about it. I mean you have to love something to buy it twice.

July Empties!

July Empties!

Hello everyone… I hope all is well as usual! July has been packed with so much which has reflected in my lack of posts! For that, I am truly sorry.

At last, I’ve saved up my all my beauty trash and here today to give you my July empties. Yay! I love the idea of looking at what others have finished so I hope you do to.

IMG_3564Starting with the Home Grown Fresh Picked makeup wipes. I felt these were so-so, nothing to write home about, but did the job. They smelt fine and I used them for much more than just removing my makeup. I felt like the pack was never ending!

Up next was the OOZOO Face Injection Mask. Which I did a review on my blog. (Shameless Plug) I loved this mask and plan to buy many more. Oh, and did I mention they have more than one!

Bubble Bath Pearls, I got these on sale at OLD NAVY. Yes, Old Navy! They were those little balls with an oil inside, definitely a 90’s throw back. They really didn’t do anything but hey they were fun!IMG_3563

Sephora Charcoal Nose Strip… I’m not sure how I felt about this strip. It pulled out some black heads just like the bore strips, but… the smell! (Omg) It was so strong, plus its right on your nose. I would not repurchase.

Hey Smile, I’m not sure what this is called I would want to say the “bleaching” agent. I love my hey smile system. I use it all the time (I’m sorta obsessed,) and its super affective.

Dollar Tree bath soak? Enough said. I didn’t like it one bit, I do not know what I was thinking when I bought it. I love the dollar store but their bath products are a no-go for me.

Loreal Face Masks are awful, they burnt my skin. I didn’t even finish them.

Benefit Porefessionals, I have rebought this product a million times. It’s my perfect primer and I would never switch! I’m a die hard fan.

Thats pretty much it! I hope you enjoyed reading about my empties. Oh did anyone peep the new background? Are we fans?
